DISCOVERY CRUISE LINE ANNOUNCES NEW KIDS CLUB
Miami,
FL---Discovery Cruise Line, the largest tour operator from South Florida to
Grand Bahama Island, announced the expansion of its kids club.
Known
as “Club Discovery,” the club now occupies a much larger space on board and
features a fun and exciting environment specially designed for kids, as well as
new learning games and toys.
According
to Hanns J. Hahn, the General Manager of Discovery, “The focus of the new club
is to provide a learning experience for kids sailing on Discovery, with an
emphasis on marine life and marine experiences. Games have been selected that will encourage the kids to want to
acquire more knowledge about a variety of marine life, not only while on board
but later as well.” New mascots include
a blue whale, a red octopus, a yellow starfish and a pink conch.
On Discovery, kids under six years sail free and stay free at a variety of resorts
on the island. Kids between the ages of
six and eleven pay only $49 for the roundtrip cruise, and stay free at the
resorts.
Discovery
sails daily from Ft. Lauderdale to Grand Bahama Island and offers Fun Day
Cruises and Cruise ‘N Stay Vacation Packages to most resorts on Grand Bahama,
including Westin, Sheraton, Wyndham, Best Western and Crowne Plaza.
Discovery
passengers enjoy lavish breakfast and lunch buffet meals on the cruise to the
island and all the amenities of a traditional cruise. They depart early morning and arrive in the afternoon to enjoy
the rest of the day in the Bahamas. On
the day of return they can enjoy a full morning and early afternoon on island
before boarding for the return cruise where they will be treated to a lavish
buffet dinner, a Las-Vegas style casino, entertainment, shows, and more.
