DISCOVERY OFFERS FREE CRUISES TO KIDS UNDER 12

The cruise line raises the age for its kids free program during summer vacations this year

Miami, FL --- Discovery Cruise Line, which offers ferry service with cruise line amenities between South Florida and Grand Bahama Island every day of the week except Wednesdays, announced that, effective immediately with new bookings, kids under 12 years of age will be able to cruise and eat free on board the Discovery Sun (one child per full fare paying adult) during summer vacations this year.

Hanns J. Hahn, General Manager of Discovery, said that “Previously, the child had to be under 6 years of age to cruise free, but the company recognizes that families want to be able to vacation together and, with the cost of everything increasing, the cost of a family vacation has become almost prohibitive.  Therefore, Discovery wants to help these families by providing free cruises and on board meals to kids under 12 years of age as long as each child is accompanied by a full fare paying adult.  We will continue this program through the end of this summer.”

Discovery‘s cruise amenities include a Kid’s Club, live entertainment, Wii, games, activities, a show, a disco, and a Las Vegas-style casino.  Plus, you have plenty of room to stretch your legs on one of the spacious decks.
