*Price includes the cruise, U.S. port taxes, 2 all-you-can-eat buffet meals on board, and all-you-can-drink alcoholic (house brands) and non-alcoholic beverages on board.  Does not include port parking fees or a $35 per person surcharge including the Bahamian departure & harbor fees, security and CBP user fees, and ticket transaction fee.  One free conventional suitcase per adult passenger.   Passengers should be committed to responsible drinking and this is the passenger’s sole responsibility.  Discovery will not serve alcoholic beverages to passengers under the age of 21 while the ship is in Florida waters and Discovery will not serve such beverages to passengers under the age of 18 outside Florida waters.  Although Discovery does not control or manage private or public transportation at any port of call, it understands that a sufficient number of taxi cabs or other means of public transportation may be available dockside upon arrival for passengers who choose not to operate their own vehicles upon debarkation.  It is the passenger’s responsibility to act with due diligence when deciding whether to operate a motor vehicle after consuming alcoholic beverages.

Travel requirements: 

As required by U.S. Government, U.S. citizens aged 16 and above, will be required to be in possession of a valid passport or passport card when traveling with Discovery to or from the Bahamas. Please note that  passport application receipts will not be accepted for travel.(Please note that we are not considered a “closed loop” cruise by CBP)

American citizens 15 years of age and under born in the U.S. require either a valid non-cancelled passport or an original state issued birth certificate (issued by the Department of Health & Vital Statistics). Please note that copies of birth certificates are not acceptable.
American citizens 15 years of age and under born outside the U.S. require either an American valid non-cancelled passport or an original naturalization certificate.

U.S. legal alien residents must present their non-expired alien resident card. (U.S. legal alien residents that are Bahamian citizens must also present their Bahamian passport).

Canadian Citizens 16 years of age and above, will be required to be in possession of a valid passport when traveling with Discovery to or from the Bahamas.
Canadian citizens 15 years of age and under require either a Canadian passport or a Canadian citizenship ID accompanied by another valid
Canadian government issued photo ID.
All other travelers must have valid passports from their country of origin in conjunction with a multiple entry U.S. visa and if necessary a Bahamian visa,
(please check with the Bahamian Consulate). Please be advised that non-resident students traveling with a US visa (F1, J1 or M1) must also be in possession of a valid SEVIS form (I20 or IAP66) for travel.

Passengers under 18 years of age (traveling without their parents or guardian) require a notarized written parental consent for travel and must be accompanied by an adult (download form here).
Advance reservations and payment required. Please allow at least two hours for check in.

Cruise Only:

Cancellations or changes prior to sailing, no shows or passengers denied boarding, are subject to a $25  charge per person; future reservations may be made for $25 per person re-booking fee. Cruise tickets are valid for a maximum period of six months from original sailing date. Other  policies and penalties may apply to group travel not booked online.

ALL CREDIT CARDS USED AS FORM OF PAYMENT MUST BE PRESENTED UPON CHECK-IN. IF CARD IS NOT PRESENTED OR OWNER OF CREDIT CARD IS NOT SAILING, A NEW FORM OF PAYMENT WILL BE REQUIRED. 

Cruise and stay vacation package rates are per person, based on double occupancy. Except for all-inclusive categories, rates do not include hotel taxes and gratuities. Prices may be higher on weekends and holidays. Rates, facilities and services subject to change without notice. 

Reservations cancelled or changed at least seven (7) days prior to the day of sailing are subject to a $25 charge per person. Reservations cancelled within seven (7) days prior to sailing are subject to a one room night hotel charge and $25, per person. No shows, passengers denied boarding, and cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable, but are transferable subject to penalties for up to six months from original date of sailing. Wyndham Viva Fortuna packages are non refundable if cancelled less than seven (7) days prior to sailing.
No Food or beverages may be brought on board.
 
One conventional luggage piece will be carried free of charge per traveling adult passenger. Second luggage piece will be $15. Additional pieces $25.
 
Minimum age for sailing is 6 months. This is a liability insurance dictated  company policy which takes into consideration the safety and comfort of  infants and their parents as well as all other guests. Discovery understands the legality of this policy and it is not discriminatory and does not violate any applicable laws. Discovery will not make exceptions and does not allow for the signing of waivers or releases to make an exception to the policy
Guests who are 24 weeks or more into their pregnancy on the date of embarkation will not be allowed to sail. Pregnant women less than 24 weeks must submit, prior to departure, a letter from their attending physician certifying the gestational period and that the expecting mother is fit to sail.

 
HURRICANE POLICY: Please note that in the event of a hurricane watch or warning being posted by the National Hurricane Center for Southeast Florida or the Northern Bahamas during the time of your travel, you may cancel or rebook your trip without penalty. Any passengers vacationing on the island during the posting of a hurricane watch or warning who may wish to return from the island earlier than originally booked are welcome to do so without penalty (based on space availability).
